Gaudí- Sinner or Saint?
by
Mr Gijs van Hensbergen Antoni Gaudí y Cornet was the most internationally prestigious figure in Spanish architecture, his work being greatly influenced by forms of nature in his use of curved construction stones and twisted iron sculptures. In his day, Gaudí was both admired and criticised for the audacity and uniqueness of his innovative solutions. Mr van Hensbergen's lecture is based on his book Gaudí-the biography and, having studied the architect's life and work, he has written many articles about Gaudí and also appeared on television both in the UK and Spain.
