The Dissolution of the Abbeys

The dissolution of the Abbeys resulted in a great loss of English craft skills.  The reclamation of wealth which followed was a stimulus for the English renaissance and the birth of the English Country House.

Biography

Dr Bostwick is a consultant in the Cultural History of the Mediaeval, Tudor and Stuart periods.  The dissolution of the abbeys resulted in the loss of English craft skills.  The reclamation of wealth which followed was the stimulus for the English renaissance and the birth of the English Country House.
