Honiton Decorative and Fine Arts Society and Honiton Library
have joined together to provide a new Arts Book Loan Scheme.

Linked to the society’s monthly lecture programme from October 2008 to June 2009 the library will have books available on display and to loan covering the arts subject to be covered that particular month.

The first books available to loan will be from October 1st on the Italian architect Palladio, and the great houses of Britain that were built under the influence of his style. These will be on display throughout October.

In November they will be replaced by books on Noel Coward and his work as an actor, painter and writer. The display will then change each month through to the end of our season in June 2009.

There will be a dedicated corner in the library for this exciting new collaboration between HDFAS and Honiton Library.

Society members who have library membership anywhere in East Devon are able to take out books from Honiton and if more convenient return them to your local branch.

The Arts Book Loan Scheme is available to all HDFAS members and to users of Honiton library.

To launch the scheme there is to be a week long poster display in the library starting Monday 22nd September.
